Traverse Quenon

Traverse quenon is a cane with a similar embouchure to that of traverse flute.

It has a wide sound and high projection. It allows interesting effects in contemporary music.

It is special for Andean melodies and for working together with a quena at distances of octaves. There is also the traditional Quenon, which has the same design of quenas, but with a bigger size. Traverse quenon and traditional quenon can adopt the Markamam system. This way chromatism is possible as in the case of markama’s quena. To study and enjoy all the Andean instruments requires a great responsibility and love.
